» About Cabin Fever Coffee
All too often we get the question, "Where did Cabin Fever
Coffee come from?" Is it a chain? Not yet!
The original downtown location is in a 100 year old
building. It was designed by the owner using her
background in interior design and love of the mountains to
shape the interior of her two locations.
The downtown structure was built in the late 1800's.
The plaster was removed from the walls and a beautiful
archway was discovered. After much scraping and
scrubbing and cleaning with acid, the brick looked pretty
good. New windows were put in and all of the wood had
to be stained and varnished. We inherited the wagon,
which was a Defiance antique made in the late 1800's by the
Turnbull Wagon Company, which used to be located just a few
blocks away from here. After a little loving care, it looks
great in it's cubbyhole!
We wanted a place where people could come to relax, hang
out, and escape the everyday stresses of life. We just
know that the mountain/cabin theme will appeal to many
people and we hope the warmth of the atmosphere will bring
everyone back time and again. So bring in your friends
or your out-of-town company, and sit and enjoy a little
slower pace here at Cabin Fever Coffee! Downtown or
Northtowne!
