The United Way of Defiance County hosted the first annual Defiance Hot Air Balloon Festival at the Defiance County Airport on August 16th, 2014 to benefit the new volunteer and community engagement program, the Community Engagement Center.
The Community Engagement Center (CEC) was launched in summer 2014 as a program through United Way of Defiance County to engage Defiance County in service by connecting individuals to local volunteer opportunities. The Defiance Hot Air Balloon Festival is our annual fundraiser for this program.

Military Days begins at 10AM with Flag Raising at 10:30. Wings, bands and beer tent begin at 1PM and run through 5PM. Free Admission with Military ID or DD-214. $5 Admission, Children under 12 free with a member and adult supervision.
